Meet Magento New York, held its 7th edition exclusively online this year on the 30th of October.

As with any leading eCommerce conference, merchants, experienced developers, and other technology partners shared their knowledge and best practices around Magento’s ecosystem.

As 2020 was a crucial moment for many merchants, the speakers approached their topics in a way that would help merchants control this change and behavior of the online buyers.

3 tracks gathered experts from around the globe to present ways of making the Magento eCommerce experience better, faster and cost-efficient as never before.
Parallel sessions were held on the Business track, the Solutions Track and Technical Track, while the attendees had the opportunity to schedule discussions prior to the event or on the spot, as well as joining the Lounge at a virtual table for a networking session.

After Marsha Naidoo‘s opening note, Ben Marks, one of the well-known voices in the community delighted the audience while the chat room went silent. As we joined the lounge we immediately saw familiar faces, the ones we used to see at most of Meet Magento events and shared some thoughts on what was to come next year.

From sales tax solution to payment and shipping, hosting solutions as well as digital marketing services, the topics covered new ways of improving the eCommerce experience, an evermore demanding sweet spot that every merchant is looking to secure within its eCommerce strategy.

While the Technical track covered various frameworks and concepts of improving the Magento platform, and recommendations of building extensions, it also included topics like progressive web apps, storefront micro-services, and the importance of digital assets management in today’s multi disciplinary marketing environment.

Overall, the online event was a comfortable experience, and we could say that the only missing pieces were the casual chats around coffee and the afterparty.

Recordings of all tracks will be available soon.
