Launching a new sales channel: Direct-to-Consumer
Launching a new sales channel has its challenges, but technology should not be one of them.
For a leading brand, launching a new sales channel takes special preparation: stock distributed across logistics centres, a support team ready to answer online customers, a marketing team with campaigns lined up for launch, and more. The last thing you need is an unpredictable process for building the online store itself.
That is why we designed a launch process that is easy to follow, refined over years of experience, so you can keep track of your project's status at a glance.

A leader in home appliances
Rowenta is a long-established brand on the Romanian market and a world leader in personal care and home cleaning appliances.
Groupe SEB, the company behind the Rowenta brand, operates in more than 150 countries and holds a unique portfolio of over 30 leading brands. Since its foundation, the company has been a key player thanks to innovative products that improve the lives of consumers around the world.
The company pursues a long-term strategy focused on innovation, international development, competitiveness and customer service. Multi-cultural and multi-creative, it employs more than 34,000 people across over 60 countries, united by a shared vision of sustainable development, professionalism and a passion for innovation.

The challenge
As part of a multinational group present in more than 150 countries, the Rowenta store has to meet the high compliance and security standards set at group level.
A priority for the new D2C channel was presenting products in as much detail as possible, to help customers who want to buy a product or simply learn about it and its features.
Long-term scalability and extensibility were equally important for the new store, and the availability of advanced integrations, along with room for future ones, was another key consideration in the Zento implementation.

The solution
Zento's solid foundation, built on Magento 2, fully met Rowenta's global compliance, security and stability requirements, and came with the guarantee of long-term support.
The design, customised down to the finest detail, prioritised a catalogue that visitors can explore easily and product presentation with a level of detail that is only possible in a Direct-to-Consumer implementation.
Zento's innovative PWA frontend brings the design together into a superior user experience, built on browsing speed and instant response times.
Integrations with ERP, WMS and marketing solutions were essential in building a sales channel that can scale alongside the growth forecast.
The cloud hosting architecture strikes a perfect balance between low costs and scalability at peak times, with security that traditional solutions cannot match.
